Ah at last, spring is in the air! Today marks the last day of winter (unofficially), and it's also Daffodil Day, the Cancer Society's annual fundraising appeal. Each year we support this wonderful organisation for their continued good work within our community.

This month's "meet the team" segment is on Ean Brown himself, and also marks the final in this series. We hope you have enjoyed getting to know our friendly EBP team, and remember: we are all here to help - just drop us a line!

And just as one series is ending, another will be starting next month. Keep your eyes peeled for our new blog series "The Key to Success", where we will delve into all aspects of running a successful business, from branding and marketing, to pricing strategies and time management. Stay tuned!

Ed.

Ean Brown

Ean Brown, Director of Ean Brown Partners Ltd

Last but certainly not least to feature in our "meet the team" segment is EBP's director, Ean Brown (BCom, CA).

Ean has worked for the firm in its many guises since 1978 when he joined Coopers and Lybrand, becoming a partner seven years later.

After the '98 merger which saw the company become PricewaterhouseCoopers, he and another partner, Ms Gilmore, purchased the Whangarei practice in July 2000 and formed Gilmore Brown Limited.

As Ean was born in Northland and coming from a farming background, the returned focus of "local accountants servicing the local region" was a realignment of core values which endure to this day here at Ean Brown Partners Limited.

Ean and his wife Penny have three children and three grandchildren, with a fourth due very soon!

E-mail Ean

Kind Regards

The team
