Farmers do not need to register as an essential service under Alert Level 2 or 3.

Farmers in and around Auckland need a letter authorising an essential worker to cross the boundary. This is either to come from within the Auckland region to your farm if you are outside the region. Or if you are in the Auckland region and employ someone from outside the region. If you are unsure if you are part of the Auckland region, you can find a boundary map here.

Every farmer across the rest of the country should be taking practical steps to protect their family, workers and others who may come to the farm.

All businesses and services are required to display the official NZ COVID Tracer QR code posters. Farmers should display these for visitors and providers who may come on site. You can get your QR code post here.  If technology is not your strong suite, please contact us for help.

Keep in mind that alert levels may change in the near future and be prepared. Beef and Lamb New Zealand have shared a practical 10 point plan for farmers dealing with the COVID-19 pandemic.
