New minimum wage rates from 1 April 2022 (before tax):
| Adult | $21.20 (up from $20.00) |
| Starting out | $16.95 (up from $16.00) |
| Training | $16.96 (up from $16.00) |
If you have any staff on minimum wage, you need to send them a letter or email to notify them about the increase. It is also important to recalculate your budget for the rest of the year, as you will be paying out more in wages.
