We’d like to share an important reminder and update with our clients.
It is law in New Zealand, that all cattle and deer need to be tagged and registered. It is illegal for animals to leave your property without registering first – this must be done within 6months of birth before leaving your property.
As of the 14th June 2020, your livestock carrier can request that you sign a declaration saying that you are compliant with NAIT,that all the animals being transported are NAIT tagged (and registered) or they may refuse to transport them.
This declaration protects your transporter from the risk that animals are not tagged or registered.
