A second round of the resurgence support payment is going to open up for applications next week.
Businesses that can show a 30% drop or more in revenue in a 7-day period from 8 September until immediately before all of New Zealand returns to Alert Level 1 compared to a typical 7-day period in the 6 weeks before 17 August can apply.
Applications will open on Friday 17th September at 8:00am and need to be done through Inland Revenue’s website.
Businesses can apply for this second payment even if they have received the first payment.
The payment is $1,500 plus $400.00 per full-time equivalent employee, up to a maximum of 50 full time employees or four times the actual revenue decline experienced by the applicant, whichever is less.
Note the following change in eligibility criteria from 9 September 2021: If you’ve been in business for at least 1 month before the alert level increase on 17 August 2021 you can apply for the payment.
